BRP EXPANDS ITS SEA-DOO X-TEAM BOUNTY PROGRAM TO INCLUDE OFFSHORE AND ENDURANCE RACES FOR 2010

February 24, 2010: BRP continues to lead the watercraft industry in grassroots racing support with the expanded 2010 Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty racer contingency program. New for 2010 is the added support for top finishing Sea-Doo watercraft racers in offshore and endurance events and the addition of Novice class championship payouts to the Expert and Pro closed-course program.

The Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty program rewards racers with additional cash payouts for successfully competing aboard Sea-Doo watercraft and finishing in the top two positions at APBA (American Powerboat Association) and IJSBA (International Jet Sport Boating Association) sanctioned closed-course races across North America.

BRP is looking for racers aboard the new Sea-Doo RXT-X 260 watercraft to dominate the offshore and endurance events in the same manner Sea-Doo RXP-X mounted racers have dominated the closed-course arena. The 2010 Sea-Doo RXT-X 260 features BRP’s S³hull design, the only stepped PWC hull providing precise big water handling and keeping the watercraft glued to the water for maximum control. With upgraded, race-inspired steering, with A.E.S. (Adjustable Ergonomic Steering) and customizable power delivery with an electronically adjustable ignition system, the Sea-Doo RXT-X 260 offers offshore enthusiasts the most advanced high-performance PWC in the industry.

Complimenting the Bounty program is the Sea-Doo X-Team Promoter Support program, assisting select race event producers with additional sponsorship funds to produce high quality, safe events, and to promote the sport with greater reach.

The X-Team Bounty gets supercharged for the sport’s biggest single event, the IJSBA World Finals, with boosted payouts for select classes. The IJSBA World Finals in Lake Havasu City, AZ is also the location of the annual Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty Challenge where the program’s top contingency money earners of the year are invited to take part in a special winner-take-all competition for a special BRP prize pack.

In 2009, Sea-Doo watercraft racers dominated the IJSBA World Finals as Sea-Doo X-TEAM riders claimed 12 World Titles including every Pro class win possible. Over $9,000 in Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty money was awarded during the year’s final event.

2010 SEA-DOO X-TEAM BOUNTY Eligibility Rules:

READ ALL APPLICABLE RULES BELOW TO QUALIFY

1. To be eligible for the Sea-Doo Bounty contingency, racer must compete on an IJSBA/APBA eligible Sea-Doo watercraft in the specified class(es) described in the rules and contingency tables within the United States or Canada. Race events offering the Sea-Doo Bounty are all those in North America sanctioned by either the IJSBA or the APBA.

2. ONLY racers competing on 4-TEC powered watercraft qualify for contingency.

3. Racer must list Sea-Doo as the brand of watercraft raced and “SEA‑DOO X TEAM” as a sponsor on entry.

4. The SEA-DOO BOUNTY logo decal must be clearly visible and legible on the watercraft forward of the handlebars and above the waterline. Sea-Doo logo decals must be clearly visible on both sides of the watercraft above the bond-line, forward of the handlebars - minimum of two (2”) inch tall lettering. 5. Racer is eligible for as many contingency payments as earned during an event.

6. Racer MUST compete against a MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) finalists in the class to qualify for contingency.

7. Contingency prizes will be paid for overall closed-course racing only. Slalom does not apply. In IJSBA World Finals contingency, only Overall Titles will be paid (which in some cases may include slalom).

8. For the 2010 race season, all claims must be sent in by the racer, within 10 days of the event, and postmarked no later than July 1, 2010 (for races taking place between February 27, 2010-June 20, 2010) September 16, 2010 (for races taking place between June 21, 2010 – September 5, 2010) and October 21, 2010 (for the World Finals). Claims postmarked after these dates will not be honored. There is a possibility that a BRP representative will present publicly an enlarged check only for photography.

9. Contingency payments will be issued to racers from BRP only after the IJSBA/APBA and BRP have verified official results.

10. Contingency will be paid for only the listed events sanctioned by IJSBA and/or APBA. All claims must be signed by an event or sanctioning body official, if not, payment will not be made. Racers have the responsibility to have the claim properly completed (providing all requested information) and mailed to the address above. Please allow 5-10 weeks for processing of checks after the July 1, 2010, September 16, 2010, and October 21, 2010 cut-off dates.

11. Racer must provide a signed W-9 Tax form and supply images of the Sea-Doo watercraft raced with first redemption submission, before any payments will be made by BRP.

12. BRP reserves the right to reject a claim not properly or fraudulently filed and reserves the right to cancel this program at any time.

13. BRP will NOT accept ANY responsibility for any damages or injuries, including death that may occur during the above-described events.

14. Racers grant BRP the unlimited right to utilize their name, their photograph, their person, and their performance in advertising and promotional efforts.
